RHB Partners with Southern Black Lifestyle Brand

R.H. Boyd aims to tell the Black experience from many perspectives, and one of those comes from RHB’s newest partner, Michiel Perry, also known as the Black Southern Belle (BSB).

Mrs. Perry is founder of BSB, a digital lifestyle brand that covers food, home décor, weddings, and fashion.

She shared that the concept “fell into her lap” as she was planning her wedding and decorating her home. She then decided to fill a niche for others like herself—looking for inspiration that was both uniquely Southern but also distinctly Black.

Since its inception, Black Southern Belle has expanded exponentially. Mrs. Perry has developed an editorial division, ambassador program, online store, and the Black Southern Belle Collective.

BSB has been featured in numerous outlets, including HGTV, Essence, Black Enterprise, Draper James, Apartment Therapy, Brides, Today, Levo League, AOL Lifestyle Collective, and more, with marketing campaigns with the likes of Pure Leaf, American Express, Gildan, and Walmart.

Before launching her business, Mrs. Perry managed marketing and partnerships at Lillybee, a collegiate and sorority lifestyle brand.

RHB actively seeks partnerships with companies and brands, and Mrs. Perry’s Black Southern Belle was a great fit because she speaks through the voice of so many consumers and shares many of RHB’s corporate values—a strong connection to her faith, a heart for family, and a love for inspiration and creativity. She, along with her communication manager, Tiffany Farney, will likely continue to expand, given their eye and passion for their work.
